General Meeting

No guests Birthdays • Elaine for 9th � Treasurer • Would everyone ensure their meal balances are in the black as notified by Davi M’s email on 18/12. Fundraising • Chestfield collections went well despite Rudolf reversing Santas sleigh into a wall With the Tesco collections over £1200 has been donated.Tescos was very accommodating. Ladies young and old made Santa smile� - there is photographic evidence. Sue will discuss our slot for next year with Sam from Tesco. • Car parking on 31/12, all shifts are covered. • Margate Rotarian Derrick Downes is walking 90 miles for his 90 birthday. Members are able to donate as they wish and the club is donating £90. Social • Big thank you to Ian for organising the Christmas meal at Whitstable and Seasalter golf club. Thoroughly enjoyed by all. • Ideas for social events next year to Sue or other board members please. 1 International • Andrew proposed a donation of £600 to Shelterbox, seconded and agreed unanimously. • TWAM collection, 26/04/25 at the Plough. David M has put in the Chestfiel magazine as well as a thank you for the street collection. Community and vocational • Rachael, Pilgrims, needs volunteers for the Christmas tree collection for shredding at Macknade - contact directly. AOB • The club has received a certificate acknowledging our support for Polio No Greetings • Merry Christmas from 1st Whitstable Guides. • Thank you from Mel for hosting them at our Christmas meal. • Maureen and Kathy attended Whitstable rotary club’s Christmas meal and met with Myfanwy.
