As the name suggests this Committee is involved in getting youngsters from all backgrounds and abilities involved in activities that stretch their capabilities, widen their minds, open up there thinking on other people from different backgrounds and beliefs, have fun and enjoy themselves. This can be in local, district, national or international events promoted directly by Rotary or supported by Rotary.
2023/4 Committee Chairman is Maggie Cox
We helped set up an Interact Club at Kent College in 2011 which is doing very well and they have had tremendous fun and success with fundraising for many different projects.
We organise a Fund Raising Event that links Youth, International and Fund Raising each year in aid of Walk 4 Water where we get local primary schools involved to raise funds and complete a 6km walk carrying 6ltrs of water as done by so many children in developing countries every day. We go and talk to them in their schools about the problems of clean water and sanitation and they can follow the progress of projects supported on the Internet for several years. Why not join us this year on 24th March 2024?
