Fundraising • Nick is awaiting Club clothing. • Tescos have replied to the club application to be a registered charity, Sue and David have responded identifying our locally focused fundraising as they seem to assume we look internationally rather than local. • Godfrey has put car parking dates in events folder, need one more person for 12-2 on 8/2. • The lady who previously proposed a large donation for South Africa is now well and has been in contact with David M. She has the info she requires from David and he now waits for contact from her. Social • Attention brought to Friends of Whitstable Healthcare dinner, page in events folder if you are interested. • Kathy wants to organise a table for the 22/02 Whitstable Healthcare Quiz, page in the events folder. • There will be a couple of pages in the events folder seeking interest in an Escape room event or an in-house quiz and meal. Sign up if interested. • Pat will update club on bowling details on return from her Scandinavian trip. International • TWAM collection in April cover needed between 10 and 1pm. Andrew has requested that members hold onto tools they have until the collection day. • Andrew B responded to a request for info on our global activities. This was received positively. Membership • Sue joined the Zoom meeting on associate membership, an email will be circulated with a link to the recording of the meeting. Comm Voc • SNAAP have asked if we can assist with their Winter wonderland, looking for one or more santas for the day - 13/12/25 10-?5. • Louisa Constantine is stepping down from East Kent Carers, Jenny McArthy is taking over. Email previously circulated. AOB • David M receives odd emails now and again, however a recent one he responded to has meant the Club received a monetary donation through something Roman has done. Raf • Dave took over the raffle this week, possibly to make sure he didn’t win again � . S won and had the choice of Madeira (wine, not the island!), chocolates or sudoku- we’ll guess what she chose? Master at Arms • Absentees, tired finger, Brian Palmer, phones all contributed. Today is Phil Collin birthday, the First Winter Olympics were held in Chamonix in 1924 and in 1975 the patent for the Rubik’s cube was applied for. Final toast was given by Sue. Next meeting 6/02/25 7.30 for 8 am at the Plough inn. Ronan will be joining us to give an insight into Rotary activities in South Africa
