What a night we had at the St Edmunds Dinner at the magnificent Cathedral in Bury on Wednesday Night.
Thank you to everyone who helped and supported us, but mainly thank you to our lovely guests who all looked amazing, and through their generosity contributed to the stunning £29,000 we raised for Local Charities.
These include:
Gatehouse, My Wish, Suffolk Cancer Support and The Abbey Reborn Project.
We were delighted to welcome six friends from the Rotary Club of Kevelaer Germany, our twin town and twin club, thank you so much for travelling so far to support us
We were very grateful for the support of our sponsors :-
Bellota, Eco Cooling, Metrita Wealth, Sheridans, St Edmundsbury Cathedral, St Edmundsbury Wealth Management, Vino Gusto, Whitewater Creative, and a special thanks to our Caterers Crown Catering who produced the splendid meal for over 350 people , every plate delicious , well presented and graciously served.
Thank you also to our raffle and Auction Prize sponsors who donated raffle prizes for the " Three Grand Raffle" and an array of "Money Cant Buy" auction lots which were expertly sold by Ed Crichton of Lacy Scott and Knight. Thank you Ed you really do have a talent for separating people from their money, in a most charming way.
Thank you to Dean Joe Hawes who welcomed us into his Cathedral of St James and St Edmund a very fitting and certainly the most glorious venue in town, and our charming and amusing speaker Mark Murphy who entertained us with his tales of his time as a BBC Radio Presenter.
And finally thank you for the hard work of our St Edmunds Dinner Team headed up by the very talented Mr Nic Hardy (PHF) without you it would never have happened.
