The annual Rotary Club of perth Charity Golf Match

Friday 16th May saw the Rotary Club of Perth’s Charity golf day take place on the King James IV course in beautiful sunshine.  This event has brought the Perth business world together for over 30 years to raise money for great charitable causes.

A total of 23 teams battled it out.  The winning team were the Crown paints team with club members Mike Grant & Ewan Bannerman in the ranks.  A close second were Algo and then Kilmac took 3rd place.

It was a beautiful calm day ideal for playing golf and having a few beers.  The course was immaculate, food was really good and the craic was top class. There were maybe a few questions that could be raised about the standard of the golf… but you can’t have it all.

The day raised £7,700 and was enjoyed by all who participated.  This really is a team effort where business helps Rotary be a force for good.

The Rotary Club of Perth would like to thank all the people who make this event possible. The nice people at King James Golf Club who let us play their course, main sponsors Springfield Homes, the hole sponsors, advertisers & those businesses who entered a team.

A big thanks goes out to the Captain, Club manager Iain Russell, the members of King James Golf Club, the catering, bar staff and the grounds staff for making the day work and giving us a course in such great condition.

A big thanks goes to the Rotary team who once again made it all happen.
