Notes of SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING – 3rd December 2024
President Elect Robert North conducted the meeting reporting that with 15 members and no visitors present, there was one uncontested nominations for election as Club officers. Members present unanimously agreed and confirmed the following:
1. Election of Club President for 2026/27 –Still to be decided. Robert North will be President for the Rotary year 2025/26.
2. Election of Morag Carmichael as Secretary and Still to be decided Treasurer for 2025/26.
3. Robert North and still to be decided as the two voting delegates for Rotary Conferences. Still to be decided and Morag Carmichael as deputies in the event that delegates are absent.
4. Still to be decided was appointment as Independent Examiner for the 2024/25 and 2025/26 annual accounts.
5. The independently examined Annual Accounts for the year 2023/24 presented by Treasurer Janice Sinclair were received and approved.
6. The subject of Club Funds depleting and how fundraising activities must increase in the following year to allow the club to continue the charitable work of the club by way of donations was noted. Many activities were discussed, however, members need to participate and club requires new younger members.
