Last
week's speaker Evelyn Fraser led us through her journey from the dark days of
Covid whilst working as a community nurse for the NHS, the break up of her
marriage through to the current day. Her story was truly inspirational for
those that missed it, she admitted to always being creative and during a walk
she realised that she had a skill and want for photography.
Since then her life
and those of her bairns has been transformed. She now runs her own photography
business in conjunction with her new partner. It mainly focuses on weddings
(both photo and video) but admitted she would turn her hand to anything
including an alternative look at the women’s 6 nations after a discussion with
the SRU.
Her YouTube views number in the tens of millions and this has led to
international contracts in Japan and Mexico, as well as many requests from
couples from North America to collate the visual memories of their weddings
which they have arranged in Scotland.
All of this led to her publishing a book “The Box Lady” which gives the reader
an insight for aspiring photographers on how to improve their skills in taking
and publishing photos.
A truly inspirational journey in a short time for a local
lassie.
