RCBB Rtns. Ray Dance and Malcolm Hones led a party of 26 Special children from Priory School on a magical day out at Thorpe Park as part of Rotary Internationals' Annual KidsOut Day.
Nationally some 28,000 disadvantaged children & young people are entertained each year by Rotary and this is the 3rd year our RCBB has participated. As the pictures show the kids had a fantastic time, which was no doubt enhanced by their insisting that Ray and Malcolm join them on some of the stomach churning rides. Exhilarating is not the word that comes to mind!
Don Carsley, Rotary Coordinator for KidsOut, said: "Days out give children the opportunity to experience and discover new things and the effects of something as simple as having fun can last forever. All our Rotary volunteers love taking part in the KidsOut Day because it is a day filled with laughter and you can tell by the smiles what a difference it is making to these children." Since the first Rotary KidsOut Day in 1990, more than 350,000 children have benefited from a fun-packed dayout
