Gardening at Whitstable & Tankerton Hospital 21/9/13

Sat, Sep 21st 2013 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

Members carried out a big tidy up and spreading of bark (87 bags!) on gardens at Whitstable & Tankerton Hospital for "Friends" and of course patients and visitors.

The newly completed gardens are a great area for patients and visitors alike but after 6 months needed a "face lift" which falls to "The Friends" to complete, so as part of our ongoing support for them club members turned out to complete the project laying 87 bags of bark chippings!

Mind you we do get tea / coffee and if we are really good chocolate buscuits - so its well worth doing on so many levels!

Thank you to Brenda and Sue from "Friends" for their support, and we even had a surprise visit from Chestfield Parish Councillor Chris Brealy for which we were very greatfull.
