Ten Pin Bowling

The college is closed for the Easter holiday so tonight we are going 10 pin bowling instead.


As college was closed on Thursday a small group of members plus guests met for a session of 10pin bowling. The arena proved to be exceptionally busy and we waited a while to get our 'lanes' but we all enjoyed a good chat and then a bowl. Modesty prevents me reporting on the highest score amongst us.
As it was an informal evening we dispensed with the usual routine and I was not able to make any parish announcements so I'll briefly list here what I would otherwise have covered.
  • British Red Cross week is being held between 5 - 9 May when they are looking for people to shake tins outside a number of stores on various days; I doubt if anyone will want to help on 9 May as we will all be supporting our own W4W but if anyone wishes to help on other days, please let me know and I can supply details.
  • Chelmsford club will be holding Presidents Night on Sat 30 May at the Miami Hotel. Members from that club have supported our events and I hope we can get a group together. Dinner (6.30 for 7) will be followed by a magician; tickets are
