Speaker from ADHD Plus - at the College

Thu, Jan 21st 2016 at 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

Thursday had us at the college again for another large attendance of members. Mike said Grace and at the end of the evening raised a long list of fines.

In parish announcements I asked for more volunteers for the Rotary shop on 23 Feb; Sheila kindly stepped forward. I reported on an email from Chelmsford Civic society asking for volunteers at their planned exhibition I suggest if anyone is able to help, let Claire know and she will hopefully put you in touch with the society. Roger drew attention to the Dinner he had emailed about; any takers please contact Roger.

I was able to report that Sect John and I had beaten Billericay Mayflower at dominoes earlier in the week; however the mood was spoiled by having to also report that our B team had been beaten at Darts (since the meeting I have learnt that our A team were however successful). Bill reported that we have now 'sold out' for the Feb quiz (so I suppose I better get round to writing it). Well done to all for supporting this and especially to Bill for co-ordinating.

I reported on a visit I had made to Mildmay earlier in the week.

After the usual break, we had an excellent talk by Steve from ADHD+support. I confess to having known absolutely nothing about this and the presentation really opened my eyes. It was one of those where I think we could have gone on with questions long into the evening but time beat us. Kathryn gave vote of thanks; Michelle won the raffle.
