CHRISTMAS FOOD AND CLOTHING COLLECTIONS

SUNDAY 13th DECEMBER 2015

Father Christmas has advised us that he has a gap in his busy work schedule on 13th December 2015, between 4-30pm and 8pm, so is going to come along to support our Food and Clothing Collections that day.

Sadly he only has a limited time with us so we cannot get to every house in Chestfield so we will be delivering a letter to those houses we can reach in the week leading up to 13th December 2015.

Father Christmas will be very happy to have his photograph taken on his sleigh with any young (or old) residents.

If you do not receive a letter you can still support the collection by bringing your donation to the Playground Area in Chestfield Road where we will be waiting to receive them on 13th December 2015 between 4-30pm and 7pm.

Please ensure all food is “in date” and only supply “soft drinks” (no alcohol).

Last year some residents gave a cash donation, which we will happily accept, and use to purchase suitable food / drink items to donate.

The food collected will be made up into food packs to go to deserving individuals / families in the area to help make the Christmas period a little more enjoyable for them.

Any remaining food will go to Porchlight / Catching Lives or Canterbury Foodbank to help them support the homeless in our area with warm food and drinks over Christmas.

In addition to food and drink we will also collect clean, warm clothing / bedding to go to Porchlight / Catching Lives.

For more details on roads we are collecting see below:

Primrose Way / Lavender Close / Laxton Way / Ellistone Close / Tydemans Avenue / Share & Coulter Road / The Ridings / Longacre / Woodcote / Beechcroft / Polo Way / The Leas / Fairlawn / Green Leas / The Russetts.

On behalf of all those people you will be supporting, thank you, and may we wish you all a very Happy Christmas and New Year.
