SCHOOL IN A BAG

Monday 28th
September Rotakids
at
Whitchurch Primary School
invited
Luke
Simon from 'School in a Bag ' to come to talk to them about raising
funds for this very worthwhile charity. The Rotakids were shown a
video of children in Africa receiving the school bags. To date School
in a Bag has distributed over 55,000 School bags to children in 26
countries.
Following the presentation the pupils asked
Luke some very interesting and probing questions. They told him
that they would be holding a fund raising event on the 16th
October.
Their
target is to raise £1350 enabling each pupil in the junior
school to send a school bag overseas.
Following this
event 'School in a Bag' will return to the school so that the
Rotakids can pack individually numbered bags with essential resources
that will enable a child to write, draw, colour,
calculate, express themselves, eat drink and above all learn. The
Rotakids will be able to track where the schoolbags go using the
website
schoolinabag.org.
