HOME & AWAY TEAM PROGRAMME FOR 2023-2024

Thanks to continuing support from the Club and the members of the Home and Away Team we have this year been able to achieve all, and more, of the targets we set ourselves this time last year and we will endeavour to build on this in the year ahead.

Our support for the Whitchurch and Tongwynlais Festival will continue unabated and we will aim to improve on the money raised last year by the Duck Race and the Fete. We were delighted with the success of and attendance at the Quiz which returned to Lisvane in February after an enforced absence. We will continue with reading assistance at our three supported Primary schools, as well as providing dictionaries and calculators to the Year 6 leavers. The Fashion Show was a sartorial (and financial) success but may not be repeated this year to avoid overselling the event.

Kiva and Lend With Care are two minimal cost initiatives that provide great overall benefit to a wide range of small businesses and projects in a diverse number of locations abroad. Our team will continue to develop our involvement in this type of pooled funding.

The team will again provide support for the worthy and beneficial Wrap Up Cardiff scheme, in conjunction with the other Cardiff clubs.

We will continue to donate funds to Rotary’s Ukrainian and Turkish appeals, as well as helping Ukrainian families in Cardiff with clothing, bikes and other essential items.

The incredible work undertaken by Pont in Bumatofu (Mbale) and the link between the two school communities will be further developed and we will explore ways in which further assistance can be provided.

The Team will continue to look at ways to benefit the wider community, both at home and abroad, and to raise funds to achieve this.

For 2023-24 our Team will :-
