ATLANTIC LIONS CHALLENGE FOR MS TRUST

Mon, Feb 29th 2016 at 9:00 am - 9:00 am

Four young men, rowing across the Atlantic to raise funds for MS Trust

We are pleased to be supporting this great cause and have our Club Logo on the boat. We wish them every success.

3000 Miles. 60+ Days. 4 Men. 1 Boat.

It’s no surprise that more people have been into space, or climbed Everest than have rowed the Atlantic. It takes a certain kind of person to keep going when faced with exhaustion, hallucination, blisters, salt rashes, sharks and sleep deprivation. That’s why the Talisker Whisky Atlantic Challenge is one of the toughest races on earth.

We will row more than 3000 miles, setting off from San Sebastien, La Gomera, across the untamed seas of the Atlantic, finishing in Nelson's Dockyard English Harbour, Antigua. Once out on the ocean, we'll be on our own and at the mercy of mother nature and her elements. We aim to become members of a small community of friends that have shared the adventures and dangers of an ocean rowing crossing. The mental and physical endurance will result in a life changing achievement and we welcome you to share in our journey and progress all in aid of a fantastic cause, the Multiple Sclerosis Trust.

If you would like to support them go to www.atlanticlions.com and register your support.
