District Young Interviewer Competition 2016

Howells school kindly provided the venue for the competition with Martin Pollard, Chief Executive, Welsh Centre for International Affairs in the hot seat as Interviewee.

The subject was “The European Union – In or Out?” with the six competitors taking a variety of approaches to questioning Martin. The excellent standard of questioning made for a lively and interesting evening, kept Martin on his toes and provided the Adjudicators with a difficult task in deciding the winners.

This year the winner was Sian-Agius Evans(Howells school), with Charles Archer (Cathedral school) placed second and Daniel Bevan (Whitchurch High school) third. All these three competitors were sponsored by Rotary Club of Cardiff Breakfast. The photograph shows the winner Sian questioning Martin Pollard with the Adjudicators looking on deep in thought.
