This is a three kilometre walk - 2 miles in beautiful country side North of Dunkeld at the Corbenic College. Saturday 20th August, weather permitting, meeting at Corbenic at 2pm. Walk and contemplation over the poetry should take about one and a half hours. Possibly we can find a suitable venue for a cup of tea or ice cream.
Set in the grounds of the old Drumour Shooting Lodge and estate, the path meanders through a variety of terrains including open hillside, moorland, ancient native woodlands, hazel coppice, and riverbanks. The path has been designed with a variety of surfaces to be as sensitive as possible to the wild terrain it passes through. It curves and contours, rises and falls with the shape of the land offering a means of accessing quiet corners and magical places that would otherwise remain hidden away and forgotten. The path has been made possible by, and is used regularly by those who live in the Corbenic Community. The construction of the path has been on going now for over two years with many volunteers and teams helping out. All of the path has been built by hand, from digging out the route to moving tons of gravel by wheelbarrow. The path is now complete, including the new South Eastern extention that increases the riverside section. Visitors are very welcome. THE PATH IS ALWAYS OPEN...and FREE!
