Weekly meeting with guest speaker planned

Due to unforeseen circumstances there was no speaker at the Rotary Club meeting last week so, instead, several business matters were discussed by the members.  Robin Mason reported that the Rotary Literary High Tea held in the Mansfield Clubrooms last Sunday as part of the Reivers Festival was a great success.  Over 60 attended to hear Rosemary Goring, Author and Publicist give an excellent talk on the Borders after the Battle of Flodden and what effect it had on the countryside and Hawick in particular.
