Jillpa wins Area 4 Young Chef Competition

The Area 4 final for Rotary District 1150 Young Chef Competition was held at Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School on Monday February 9th.

The Adjudicator was Alex Jones. Alex worked as Head Chef at “The Classroom,” Cardiff

and Vale College’s prestigious department at their new campus in Cardiff. Now he is Head

Chef at UWC Atlantic College in the Vale of Glamorgan, where he looks after the culinary

needs of students and staff from over 80 countries.

The competition was held with the kind support of Sue Hooper, Head of Food Technology

at Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School.

The competitors were Erin Corcoran of Bryn Hafren Comprehensive School Sponsored by

the Rotary Club of Barry and Jillpa Patel of Whitchurch High School Sponsored by the

Rotary Club of Cardiff Breakfast.

The District Final will be held at Cowbridge Comprehensive School on 4^th March, with

competitors to arrive at 0845.
