Who: To suit all levels of fitness or unfitness!
Categories: You can enter as an Individual as well as in a team of three
Male 18 - 40 | Male over 40
Female 18 - 40 | Female over 40
Teams of Three: Male or Female or Mixed
Equipment - 3 x 15 minutes on each:- Treadmill, Rowing and Cycling machines
Goals: Distance covered on each in 15 minutes with 5 minute transition time.
Age limit - minimum - 18
Health & Safety - covered by The Gym insurance. All staff trained in 1st Aid.
After Registration, we will need you to complete a Physical Activity & Health Questionnaire and to bring the completed form with you to the event. Download the PDF form here.
Instruction/ Advice on use of apparatus and setting-up will be given - allowing for all capabilities.
At the start, every machine will be set at a low
level so that it will be well within your fitness level to accomplish 15
minutes on the cycle, treadmill, and rowing machine. However the resistance
or speed of each machine can be adjusted ,and will be up to you and your
own level of fitness
Entrance to The Gym for the EventThe event will take place on an “open weekend” so there will be no charge for your ‘standard day pass’ – you will receive a code for this nearer the day.
ApplicationsThese are invited from members of Gyms, Triathlon clubs, Sports clubs, Rotary clubs and Companies.
You can enter as an individual in one of four categories:
Male 18 - 40 | Male 40 + | Female 18 -40 | Female 40+
Team Entriesin addition to your individual entry, why not make up a team of three - all male, all female or mixed. There is no additional fee.
During the registration process, we will need to know your team name, team captain and the three team members' names.. We shall guarantee your team will be competing in the same wave.
Entries and respective wave times will be confirmed later by email.
Winners and Results Within each category, entrants will be awarded points based on their finishing position in each of the 3 disciplines. The best overall points total for the 3 disciplines will decide the category winners. Likewise the team results will be computed using a standard formula based on each team member's position in the three disciplines to select the best team.
The results will be published on this website within 48 hours and also emailed to each participating triathlete.

All triathletes taking part in the event will receive the code for a complimentary 3 day pass which allows you access to The Gym, Chelmsford for three consecutive days. This can be redeemed at any time between 9th April and 30th June 2018.
The Gym, Chelmsford is making a special Membership offer to participating triathletes of zero joining fee (normally £20) and monthly membership of £15.99 (normally £17.99). As there is no contract length, the member will be able to cancel at any time to bring their membership to a close. This will allow you to train in the gym on the lead up to the event and after if you so choose.
Codes for both offers will be advised early in the New Year.
