Visit to Northern Ireland

Thu 30th March 2017 at 09.00 - Sun 2nd April 2017 - 14.00

Social trip to Belfast and the northern coastline, including a visit to The Rotary Club of Donaghadee.

A party of 13 from our Rotary Club took a short flight from Newcastle to Belfast for a long-weekend trip to Northern Ireland.

First on the agenda was a visit to the evening meeting of the Rotary Club of Donaghadee. President Ann Stuart is a past-president of our own club and it was wonderful to see her and Kevin again. A great start to the tour.

Next day included a most interesting and informative tour of 'Titanic Belfast' and an evening hosted by President Ann & Kevin at their home overlooking Strangford Lough.

Another highlight of our itinerary was a fantastic trip to the scenic northern coastline, taking in iconic locations such as 'The Giant's Causeway'; Ballintoy 'Game of Thrones' Harbour; and the Carrick-A-Rede Rope Bridge near Ballycastle.

Thanks to everyone for making this such an enjoyable Rotary event.
