SPECIAL GENERAL MEETING
You are requested to attend a Special General Meeting of the Rotary Club of King’s Lynn
to accept and vote on a nominations for the position of Vice President for 2017/2018.
Rotarian Michael Walker has been proposed by the President Mark Walker and seconded by
the President Elect Pip Rippengill for this position. This will follow the Open/Business
Meeting of the Club on 17 July 2017.
Nominations for all the Officers of the Club are normally proposed and accepted at the
Annual General Meeting in November. However, on this occasion, there were no
nominations for this position. Subsequent to that meeting, Michael Walker agreed to stand
and it was announced at the Club Assembly meeting in June 2017. The announcement came
to the attention of the attending District Officer who deemed that the correct appointment
procedure had not been followed.
Hence this Special Meeting has been called to rectify the position.
