For the eighth year running, the Rotary Club of Burnham Beeches has supported the Rotary GB&I national literacy programme with their Dictionary For Life project. Education is a priority for Rotary and the project enables pupils in local schools to be given dictionaries which they can keep for life.
This year the Club donated over 400 dictionaries to schools in the Farnhams, Burnham and Taplow. Rotarians presented the dictionaries at the leaving ceremonies at each of the schools at the end of June and early July.
The photograph shows pupils from year 4 at Lent Rise Junior school receiving their Dictionaries for Life which were donated by RCBB to seven junior schools in the area "
