Past President Billy McWatters introduced the guest speaker on 28 February as Kenny Scott, owner of Caddon Design / Ash Design , based in Clovenfords where he specialises in hand crafted glass art designs which can also incorporate the ashes of your loved one. This is done with the utmost respect and results in an artistic and elegant item that can be treasured forever, personalised colours can be chosen, and jewellery is also used for the same purpose
Glass Sculptures are also an avenue which Kenny has developed, and he explained to a very interested audience of Rotarians the history of glass making and the wide variety of beautiful end results which he created. He had many samples and passed these round so they could be examined in detail.
His products are sought after all over the country, Charm Beads, Pendants, Glass rings,Kilt Pins, Brooches, Canvas Art, All types of engravings. After his detailed and interesting presentation Kenny answered a number of questions, and also invited Rotarians to visit his studio/workshop at any time and a comprehensive vote of thanks was accorded by President Mairhi Trickett
