YOUR DIARY AND WHILST HELPING TO SUPPORT THIS GREAT ORGANISATION
On 29th and 30th June 2019, South Foreland Rotary Club and members of the village community are once again organising the biennial Garden Safari in the beautiful coastal village of St Margaret’s, near Deal, to raise money for Pilgrims’ Hospices.
Pilgrims’ Hospices help people facing incurable illness, and their families, to live well in every moment. Each year Pilgrims give care and comfort to over 2,400 people in East Kent free of charge. The majority of Pilgrims’ funding comes from the generous local community and all funds raised from the St Margaret’s Garden Safari will be donated to the Pilgrims Charity.
This is a fun weekend for all the family when members of the village community will open their gardens to the public over the 2 day period. In addition to the garden displays, many properties will host extra features, such as competitions, a Grand Draw and stalls selling various items.
27 properties will participate in this year’s event including some new gardens from those that opened for the previous event in 2017.
