Lunch time meeting - No speaker - casual being incoming President Ewen Macdonald first meeting

On Thursday 11^th July 2019 President Ewen Macdonald officiated at his first meeting as President as he welcomed 14 Cub Rotarians to this lunch time meeting held in the Gilvenbank Hotel, Glenrothes.

On reception was Peter May with Marilyn Robertson saying grace.

Brian Johnson gave us an update on the 2500 medical services provided in 2018 at the Burumbika Uganda project which we decided to participate in with the Rotary Club of Dunfermline. Rotarian David Lyth from RC of Dunfermline had given us a talk two years ago on the possibility of our club in conjunction with other local Rotary Club’s financing a project to build a health centre. Brian had previously advised that the health Centre was complete and the community themselves were building a kitchen. Solar lighting had been fitted and a water supply has been organised less than 100 yards from the health centre.

This coming week Thursday 18^th July 2019 is the first of our three-week summer break when members and friends have arranged to meet at Walter Fletchers house for a BBQ (weather permitting) meeting for a 1pm start.
