Andrew stood in for Paul whose presence passed unnoticed.
Lesley Robertson:
Lesley’s operation was a success and she is back home recuperating. While Lesley is recovering Robert will be acting as meal steward but please continue to contact Lesley with apologies.
Wendy Tetley:
Wendy has had an infection which took her back to hospital for a while.
Glynis Feasey:
Glynis Feasey, who was a founder member of the Club, has sadly passed away and Sue will be sending a sympathy card from the Club to her family and a donation will be made to their chosen charity in due course.
Speakers from Kent College Interact:
Sue welcomed Pauline Sepp and Frankie McNeill, two of the new officers from Kent College Interact who addressed the Club and described some of their plans for the coming year.
Canterbury Food Bank:
Sue represented the Club at an event at the Deanery, Canterbury Cathedral organised to thank all the organisations which had supported the Canterbury Food Bank. Sue will invite a speaker from the Food Bank to talk to the Club.
Young Chef Competition, Second Round, Saturday, February 1st:
Kathy and Sue went along to support our two contenders. The winners of the Club round both did well but the winners on February 1st were both students from Mid-Kent College which is a catering college

Please bring along a guest if you can.
Thursday, February 13th, Board Meeting:
There will be a meeting of the Board next Thursday, February 13th at Sue’s house at 7.30 pm.
Saturday, February 15th Car Parking:
As always, Godfrey would always welcome more help on Saturday week.
Tuesday, February 18th, Meeting to Discuss Satellite Club:
A dinner meeting of local Clubs will be held at the Marine Hotel on Tuesday, February 18th at 6.15 for 6.30 pm to discuss the formation of a satellite club. The Club will be well represented with ten members having signed up; anyone else who would like to go to the meeting should contact Kevin Fielding very quickly.
Friday, February 28th, Ten-pin Bowling with Meal at Mucini’s:
The next ten-pin bowling will be on Friday, February 28th followed by a meal afterwards at Mucini’s. A menu has been circulated but a number of members have yet to give Godfrey their menu choices so please contact him by next week at the latest.
Friday, March 13th, Kent College Interact Murder Mystery Evening:
Kent College Interact are holding a Murder Mystery Evening on Friday, March 13th at a cost of £10.00 per person. Kathy has more information.
Raffle:
In the absence of Jean S. there was no raffle.
Master of Alms:
Today was Lame Duck Day so we all paid up. There was some relief that the Club does not meet on a Friday and that Andrew B. has now retired as tomorrow is Working Naked Day.
