Ten-pin Bowling, Friday, February 28th:
The ten-bowling was a great success and was won by Spyros. The meal afterwards at Mucini’s was also excellent.
Car Parking, Sunday, March 1st:
The car parking on March 1st was very successful and raised £341.04 and £23.50 on other items.
Friday, March 6th, Table Tennis Evening:
Thirteen have signed up for the evening which will cost £10.00 per head inclusive of nibbles. If anyone wants to go along but has not signed up the evening will be at the Chestfield Warriors Table Tennis Club, Unit 33A, Joseph Wilson Industrial Park, CT5 3PS.
Sunday, March 8th, Chestfield Village Litter Pick:
This is a chance for the Club to show its support Chestfield Village but so far only three have signed up. There is a form in the folder and still time to sign up.
Thursday, March 12th, Speaker Graham Bough:
The speaker at the morning meeting on Thursday, March 12th will be Graham Bough, Treasurer, Canterbury Food Bank.
Thursday, March 12th, Board Meeting;
The next Board Meeting will be on Thursday, March 12th at 7.30 pm at Sue’s house.
Friday, March 13th, Kent College Interact Murder Mystery Evening:
The Kent College Interact Murder Mystery Evening will be on Friday, March 13th at 7.00 for 7.30 pm at the college on Whitstable Road, Canterbury, CT2 9DT. The cost will be £10.00 per person but bring your own food and drink.
Saturday, March 14th, RC Herne Bay Race Night:
Fully booked.
Friday, March 20th, Walk4Water:
Walk4Water will be on Friday, March 20th when approximately 120 children will be walking. A lunch has been organised afterwards at the Royal Oak, Blean and the menu has been circulated and everyone who is coming to the lunch is asked to let David K. have their menu choices as soon as possible.
Thursday, March 26th, Raid by RC Minster:
Everyone is reminded of the evening meal on Thursday, March 26th at the Golf Club when RC Minster will join us. The cost of the meal will be £17.50 per person and guests are welcome. The menu will be a starter of baked brie with a red onion marmalade followed by a main course of baked cod. This will be a regular meeting of the Club and everyone is expected to attend unless they apologise in the usual way.
Tuesday, April, 21st, The Old Forge and Wartime House, Sittingbourne:
Following the vote last week when nearly everyone supported Nick’s proposal of a trip to the Old Forge and Wartime House in Sittingbourne. A form will be put in the folder Nick has arranged the visit for the evening of Tuesday, April 21st. A form will be put in the folder.
Thursday, May 7th, Evening Meal, Speaker Mark Harrison:
There will be an evening meeting on Thursday, May 7th when the speaker will be Mark Harrison, the local historian who will be talking about the Tankerton Boat, Mark has spoken to the Club before and this is sure to be an interesting evening.
Saturday, May 9th, Pat and Sue’s SkyDive:
See Pat and Sue will be SkyDiving at Headcorn Aerodrome, Headcorn, Ashford, TN27 9HX on Saturday, May 9th to raise funds for Alzheimers Research, Hi Kent and Hearing Dogs for the Deaf. Please sponsor them. David M. has set up a special Sky Dive account for donations (Sort Code: 60-10-37 Account No: 13679740 Account Name: Sky Dive Acct.
Thursday, May 21st, Speaker Emma Slade:
Emma and Sue Hills will be visiting the Club on Thursday, May 21st and will speak on the latest events in Bhutan where Open Your Heart to Bhutan is about to inaugurate its second school.
Saturday, May 30th, Barn Dance:
Don’t forget the Barn Dance on May 30th. Tickets are now available.
Sunday, June 14th, Sunday Lunch at the Walpole Bay Hotel:
Sunday lunch has been organised at the Walpole Bay Hotel on June 14th at an estimated cost of £25.00 per person. There is a form in the folder and Nick needs a deposit of £5.00 from everyone interested as soon as possible.
Tuesday, June 23rd, RC Canterbury Sunrise, Golf Day:
There is a poster in form.
