Rainer rides for African Vision AGAIN!

After completing a 1000 mile ride from Hedgerley (Bucks) to Marseilles to raise funds for African Vision in 2017 Rotarian Rainer plans another epic fundraising ride - this time through Malawi.

Rtn Rainer Struck from Burnham Beeches Rotary

Club member Rainer Struck has been a long time supporter of African Vision Malawi and has raised funds for the charity through sponsored long distance bike rides.
Later this year he plans to take to the saddle again this time taking part in a fund raising event actually in Malawi. In his own words:
'I'm off to Malawi on a sponsored bike ride to spread a little love to those who have so very little.
Would YOU be willing to sponsore me?
I'm supporting African Vision Malawi  a tiny but very personal charity, the founder of which I know personally and whose aims chime with mine.

Why do I think they are worth giving to?
  • They are a family run charity and the money raised is spent on those who need , not on administration
  • Their focus is on education, medical and clean water
  • They support children from birth upwards, prioritising orphans
  • Whereever possible they spend money on training so that the locals learn to look after themselves
  • They have set up projects such as 'Sam's Village' which provides vocational and life skills
  • Malawi is one of the poorest countries in the world . They have no natural resources.
