The monthly Friday evening meeting of the Rotary Club of Dunmow saw members and friends joined by Ashley Russell from BuildAid who gave a very informative talk on their work over the last 15 years.
BuildAid is a local charity based in Parndon Mill, Harlow and was established in 2005 by a team of professionals in response to the South East Asian Tsunami. From initially providing reconstruction aid, BuildAid has evolved to now also support long term construction projects and has assisted over 400,000 people in need across the world. They have to date worked in Sri Lanka, Nepal, Haiti, Philippines and Kenya.
