1st Post - Covid Meeting

Mon, Aug 17th 2020 at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Following the first wave of the Covid virus and relaxation of the lockdown , our first meeting since March 2020 took place in August 2020

It seems a long time since we last met, but on Monday 17th August, we had our first meeting under our new president for 2020/2021, Roger May.  It was not possible to meet our usual venue, The Greyhound, as they were unable to provide the necessary social distancing requirement, and so the meeting took place at the Wycliffe Rooms where we were able to fully comply with social distancing rules.  Having to sit 2 metres apart, it was obviously difficult to replicate the convivial atmosphere we have always enjoyed in the past, but it was good to see each other and catch up on the latest news and gossip after our prolonged break.  Unforunately the second wave of the virus forced another lockdown but we continue to meet twice a month via Zoom.
