Rotarians of Kelvedon Hatch & Villages/ DG Keith Brownlie's Visit
Held at The Eagle, Kelvedon Hatch on Wed 26th August 2020
This was our first meeting since lockdown.
With the closure of Ashwells, we opted for The Eagle to hold this dinner meeting.
On arrival at 7 p.m., Dr Michael Polling checked our temperatures, we sanitised our hands and completed and signed a Declaration Statement that we had no Covid-19 symptoms or any contact with confirmed cases.
Drinks were purchased at the bar - Cash only as the pub's card machine was not in operation. We had pre-selected our main courses. We sat at 5 tables of 4.
Despite sharing the room with other diners, the evening went well, until management decided 'public speaking' was agin the Covid rules; fortunately DG Keith had completed 75% of his address to the members.
There were 3 Associate members present who will soon be inducted as Full members - hopefully at the next Ingatestone partner's Evening on 17th September. We welcomed Dionne- a potential member.
