Lunch time meeting - ZOOM Meeting our speaker this week is Linsey Proctor from Fife Gingerbred

Thu, Oct 8th 2020 at 1:00 pm - 2:00 pm

On Thursday 1st October 2020 President Geoff Sampson welcomed 14 Club Rotarians, guest speaker Linsey Proctor and soon to be inducted Scott Galloway to this lunch time meeting held by ZOOM.

Five Rotarians apologised for non-attendance.

Our speaker this week was Linsey Proctor who gave the members an excellent talk and video clip on Fife Gingerbread who were established 17 years ago and have an office in Flemington Road Glenrothes. The Group support and empower Fife’s lone parents and families in need through early intervention and partnership working. They continue to support those who need help most and champion for change on their behalf. They recognise specific needs and gaps in provision and strive to influence policy makers both locally and nationally.

With so many questions of interest this had certainly been a passionate talk.

This was an opportune time to talk about this as after the talk President Geoff Sampson had much pleasure of inducting another New Rotarian Scott Galloway into membership of Rotary. Scott who has recently started his new business home sweet homes estate agents will be a welcome addition to the club and has agreed to liaise with Linsey on how we can support Fife Gingerbread, Linsey suggested selection boxes for Christmas..

The Rotary vote of thanks was given by President Geoff Sampson

This coming week Thursday 15th October 2020 at 1pm on ZOOM we will be given a talk by Ann Tait President of the association of Fife Rotary Clubs and also an update from Rose Duncan of the Collydean Community Centre.

The Rotary vote of thanks will be given by Wilna Roger.

If you were interested in supporting the community and international projects get in touch by Private message on The Rotary Club of Glenrothes Facebook page. You will be made most welcome[GS1] .
