The monthly Friday evening Zoom meeting of the Rotary Club of Dunmow saw 45 members, family, friends and members from Canterbury Rotary Club, joined by guest speaker Jim Gascoyne who provided a very interesting and informative talk on “Churchill’s Secret Army”. Jim is part of CART “Coleshill Auxiliary Research Team” who research into the secret Auxiliary Units of the Second World War, sometimes known as “Churchill’s Secret Army”. Members of the Auxiliary Units were trained in the art of sabotage and hand to hand combat to fight against any possible Nazi invasion in 1940, a truly fascinating story.
