An urgent fundraising appeal to help local families in need at Christmas.... Sort code 20-25-29. A/C no. 13304302.

AN APPEAL FROM OUR PRESIDENT TRISH PEMBERTON

You are likely to be aware of Rotary Newton Aycliffe from our Santa Sleigh tours and collections in Tesco at Christmas. Sadly because of Covid-19, it has been decided that the Santa Sleigh tours will not take place, but we are still looking to find funding and sponsorship to enable us to provide 50+ food hampers at Christmas as these are so badly needed, especially in these times when many families are struggling.

We have lost numerous fund-raising opportunities, the Big Breakfast, the Golf Day, a knees up with our friends at the Big Club and many other social occasions when you would have been there to support us. The people of Newton Aycliffe, School Aycliffe and Heighington have always been so generous and kind and we do understand that other charities are having problems too, but caring is what the festive season is about isn’t it, so please help us out by contributing to our work, however small your donation, it all counts.

Tesco Newton Aycliffe have allowed us to place a collection box and banner in the store and we thank them for this kind gesture. If you would like to contribute but cannot get to the store, our bank account is The Rotary Club of Newton Aycliffe Trust Fund.
Sort code 20-25-29. A/C no. 13304302.

Our grateful thanks to Homeplan DIY for supplying materials free of charge for the collection box and to Rotarian, Brian Winwood for the design and construction of both the box and banner. And you know you can trust our members to do the best they can for the community we all love. With best wishes and a huge thank you from President Trish Pemberton.
