Tales of Everest and other adventures

Tue, Jan 12th 2021 at 7:00 pm -

Valerie Parkinson was our very special speaker

Valerie enthralled our zoom audience with a spectacular trek in the Himalayas.

22 members were joined by a dozen guests including two from Sarasota in Florida!

We were fascinated by Tales of Everest from the first woman to summit Mount Manaslu without oxygen.

Manaslu is the eighth highest mountain in the world at 8,163 metres (26,781 ft) above sea level. It is in the Mansiri Himal, part of the Nepalese Himalayas, in the west central part of Nepal.
