Cardiff Food Bank was started over 10 years ago and demand has grown consistently. Last year over 15,500 people, a third of them children, received help. Overall, the Food Bank supplied 140,000 meals. The demand for food parcels will almost certainly grow significantly over the next 12 months.

Faced with this increasing demand the Food Bank (a Registered Charity) desperately needs to move to a bigger warehouse as the current one is simply too small and is reliant on temporary overflow sites. As demand rises it will be almost impossible to meet this need from the existing facilities, resulting in families going hungry.

There will be significant costs to fitting out the new warehouse and contributing towards new and reliable transport facilities so Rotary have offered to raise £15,000 to meet these challenges.

To achieve this a Just Giving page has been set up at :

which gives more details about the Food Bank and Rotary’s support.

Please give generously to help us support this worthy and much needed cause.
