Club Meeting - An Evening of Entertainment

Tue, Mar 16th 2021 at 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

This evening we will be adopting “unusual” hairstyles or wearing hats and Red Noses as part of a celebration for St. Patrick’s Day and Red Nose Day.

Those of you who track the Club Calendar will know that Tuesday 16th is listed as being a St. Patrick’s Night Dinner. You’ll also know that Friday 19th March is Red Nose Day, a day when organisations and individuals raise money in a variety of fun ways for Children’s Charities. Given that we can’t hold a St. Patrick’s Night Dinner or do a physical fund raiser, we talked briefly last week about ways of doing “something different ” to mark both events.

Given that most of us are looking forward to a trip to the hairdressers/barbers in April we thought it might be interesting to have a “funny hairstyle” evening. Those of us who don’t need the services of a hairdresser very often might choose to wear a hat. The more creative you are the better!  With the addition of a Red Nose we could certainly rival some of the Comic Relief styles that have been sported over the years!

As we’d like to raise funds for Comic Relief and Don’s chosen charity, the Alzheimer Society, it would be nice if Members would like to make a donation to support the fantastic work done by both these charities. Obviously donations are totally voluntary but Ian would be happy to receive Bank Transfers using Red Nose and your initials as a reference.

The format of Tuesday’s Meeting will be “a little different” as we will be having some very special visitors joining us for the evening!

The Zoom Room will open at 7.25 not 7.00 pm but it will remain open after Don closes the evening if you want to chat informally. Partners are very welcome to join Tuesday’s Meeting.
