Lunch time ZOOM meeting - 1pm CLUB ASSEMBLY

,

On Thursday 3rd June 2021 President Geoff Sampson welcomed 19 members and Libby Seath, Presently President of Dunfermline Carnegie and soon to be incoming assistant Governor for the Zone 8 in District 1010 to this lunch time meeting held by ZOOM.

Five apologies for absence were received.

This week was our club assembly where incoming President Brian Johnson rolled out his plans for the forthcoming year. Having had an exceptionally good year supporting many community organisations over the past year, we are again looking to support them and with schools returning we would hope to be involved with the many competitions and initiatives as previously with a greater focus on environmental projects and a real focus again on membership.

The Old Tools and Sewing machines Project has now drawn to a close but we have arranged for a visit to the Ecology Centre on 17th July and if any further tools are received, we will take them down then,

The Books abroad project is also drawing to a close having had support from schools and the public.

Over the course of the next week, plants which we ordered earlier in the year are getting delivered and Rotarians will be seen at the Riverside Park Rotary Planter planting plants in the Planter.

This coming week Thursday 10thJune 2021 we will be given an update by Gayle Wilson on the Leslie Foodbank with the meet being held on ZOOM at 1pm

ON Sunday 6th June (past) the District Conference would be held during the day with a variety of excellent speakers lined up including one from Kenya talking about Africa Sand Dams project and another from Australia talking about membership.

If you were interested in supporting the community and international projects get in touch by Private message on The Rotary Club of Glenrothes Facebook page. You will be made most welcome.
