The start of a new Rotary Year. Graham Dawson (left) is our new President.

Stephen hands over to Graham.

At our first event of the new Rotary Year Graham Dawson was installed as the 98th  President of the Club. Graham is the managing director of Showman Audio-Visual Ltd, the Hastings based firm specialising in home entertainment systems.

Graham plans to make this year, a special one for the club with a focus on Environment and Ecology issues. To this end he hopes to promote the club’s links with other local Environment Groups such as the Bexhill Environmental Group and Bexhill in Bloom  both of which the club has been active in assisting this year – as well as helping with the Rother tree survey and a Scrapheap Challenge for youngsters to promote awareness of waste pollution.

In addition, the club will also continue with the old favourites of the Christmas Collections with a new Santa sleigh, Golf Day and other fund-raising events which will enable us to raise funds for local causes.

Having lived and worked in Kenya, Graham is keen to forge links with his old Rotary Club in Nairobi where there are lots of opportunities to help people to improve their lives.

We are looking for more volunteers and members so if you are interested in joining in this exciting future, please search our website to find out more.
