.

On Thursday 30th September 2021 President Brian Johnson. took the chair as he welcomed 17 Club Rotarians and guests of Rotarians Wilma Page and Liz Grubb to our evening meeting held at the Gilvenbank Hotel.

There were 5 apologies for nonattendance.

This week was a fellowship evening with some business. We had three different quiz sheets running for members to complete and then a lot of conversation about the organisation of this Sundays Vintage afternoon Tea.

Geoff Sampson mentioned about the Shoeboxes and the distribution in the Town with Rimbleton, Pitteuchar East Primary. The three High schools. John Fergus and some friends of Rotary including Cat Sala from Kats Mission in Kinglassie have already taken some or expressed interest in taking them. Anybody interested in filling boxes please be good enough to contact us through our Facebook page.

Polio Day is on 24th October and Chantal Mrimi is pursuing us lighting up buildings in the town in Purple.

Our fundraiser in almost two years was held on Sunday the 3rd of October which was our vintage afternoon tea held at Studio8 in Glenrothes with excellent songs sung by Charles Hankin, Malcolm and Catherine Robertson, a dance routine by Tiyan Shek and to round the afternoon off songs from the musicals by Fraser Morrison, Nicola Brown, Paul Kelly Copland, Gill Deas, Jodie Differ and Alistair More who brought the house down. So much thanks to event organisers Anne Sampson, Wilna Roger and so many helpers on the day, the guests including District 1010 Governor Heather Stuart and assistant Zone Governor Libby Seath and all those who gave raffle prizes and supported prior to the event. Special mention to Euphene Shek for her support in setting up Studio8 for us and Marilyn and Eoin Robertson who were involved in the raffle.

This coming week Thursday 7th October at 1pm will be a fellowship lunch time meeting at the Gilvenbank Hotel with a meal.

If you were interested in supporting the community and international projects get in touch by Private message on The Rotary Club of Glenrothes Facebook page. You will be made most welcome.
