The Greenough's Brighton Marathon Fundraiser

Glynne & Keith Greenough are taking part in the Brighton Marathon on 10th April and are raising funds for South Bucks Riding for the Disabled and towards the Club’s contribution to the Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

Glynne and Keith Greenough will be running the Brighton marathon on 10th April and are fundraising for the Burnham Beeches Rotary Club Trust Fund. Half of the monies donated will go to South Bucks Riding for the Disabled (SBRDA) and the other half to the Club's fundraising efforts for disaster relief in Ukraine. Keith is currently President of Burnham Beeches Rotary Club.

SBRDA provide opportunities for people with disabilities to ride and have equine interaction to benefit their health and well-being. They are based near Fulmer, Buckinghamshire. Riding is widely recognised as an excellent form of physical and sensory therapy. It helps to build up self-confidence, develops concentration, balance, and strength and, at the same time, providing recreation, education, and sport. Burnham Beeches Rotary Club has supported SBRDA by sponsoring horses in recent years and this fundraiser will enable us to continue with this. Duke is the horse we are planning to support. Glynne is a regular volunteer at SBRDA.

Burnham Beeches Rotary Club has for many years worked with Shelterbox that provides shelter, essential items and technical assistance to help some of the world's most vulnerable people recover and rebuild their homes after disaster. Shelterbox currently has a team in Poland assessing and preparing to support those in need. You can find out more about them here: https://www.shelterbox.org/ukraine-crisis-urgent-appeal/

Please give generously. Our sincere thanks
