Lunch time ZOOM meeting - 1pm - Business meeting

On Thursday the 12th of May 2022 President Brian Johnson welcomed 15 Club Rotarians, to this lunch time ZOOM meeting held online.

 

Two apologies for nonattendance were received.

 

Due to our speaker calling off at the last minute this meeting was used as a business meeting.

 

Scott Galloway mentioned he had attended a meeting of the St Andrews Rotary Club on Wednesday 11th May 2022 where Jennifer Jones incoming Rotary International President was visiting some clubs in Fife and viewing their projects which they had been involved with.

 

David Cooper spoke about the plants for the planter at Riverside Park and the Friends of Riverside Park (FORP) recruitment day at the Rothes Halls on Saturday 28th May between 12 and 4pm at the entrance to the Rothes Halls

 

Secretary Anne Sampson spoke about the district conference to be held on Saturday 18th June 2022.

 

The afternoon Comedy brunch will take place on Sunday 29th May 2022 from 1-5pm Cost £30. For tickets, please contact Iain Haywood ph 07969 619152, or through our facebook page. Funds raised will go to support Ukraine appeal and other local groups.

 

Our Ukraine bikes appeal has supported 2 adults and 4 children thus far, Thanks to those who have donated their bikes.

 

Paddy Reilly from Denside Removals uplifted some further packed items, but donated goods have dried up and we have also been advised that our storage facility at Gilvenbank is now needed for other things. We must thank Rotarian Kenny Crichton and Gilvenbank Hub and volunteers for their support over the past 3 months, the response from you all was fantastic.

 

We are organising an event in Walter Fletchers Garden to mark the Queens Jubilee on 5th June 2022.

 

This coming week Thursday 19th May 2022 is a lunch time meeting commencing at 1.00pm prompt with our speaker Gordon McInally President Nominee (RIPN) where all clubs are welcome to attend, If interested please contact us through our facebook page.
