Gardening:  Marian has asked if we can agree a date for a further tidy-up session at the Whit & Tank?  09.00am on Saturday 15th October was pencilled in the diary.

AoB:

There was some conversation about Georgina a former member of Chestfield who now finds herself the only female Rotarian at the Forest of Blean club.  Suggestion that she may want to come back to us.

Dr Laura our speaker from last week ahs sent a letter thanking us for our support.

Andrew B said he cannot attend the Golf Dinner tomorrow night after all, so he has two free tickets if anyone wants them.

Jean M said she visited David B.  He is at home and can get out of bed, but he is very frail.

David M said he will be away on holiday for the next two weeks so will deal with payments on his return.

Raffle:                   Won by David M

Master-at-Arms:              According to Nick, today marks International Literacy Day, International Pardon Day, and World Star Trek Day.

Final Toast:         Pat asked, “Beam me up, Scotty.”

Next Meeting:

Breakfast meeting Thursday 07.45am for 08.00am 15th September @ the Golf Club

Note:                    I hope no-one will be offended by what they may see as the levity of these notes.  The notes are a reflection of a meeting which took place first thing in the morning.  We were of course unaware then of the imminent passing of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II.
