Business:             Pat referred to the very successful Golf Day last Friday.  We raised £2500 for the event.  Also, we may have recruited two new potential members.  Pat gave a special thank you to David M, Nick, Godfrey, Spyros and Hilary for organising and helping on the day.

Pat reminded members of the car parking this coming week end.

Yesterday was the Tea on the Beach at Dave C and Diane’s beach hut.  The weather held off for us, and we even had a fly-by by a spitfire.

The board meeting on Tuesday discussed the proposed Adventure Golf outing at Quex Park.  It was agreed Godfrey will try to book 11.00am start Tuesday 27th September.  Please put your names in the events folder.

Kathryn is organising the Shoe Box Appeal.  The deadline for returning them here will be the meeting on Thursday 27th October.  Kathryn is away then, so Elaine has kindly agreed to pick them up.  Pat handed out copies of the leaflets.

Any Other Business:        Sue recommended the brilliant art exhibition at the Horsebridge Centre in Whitstable.

Members commented about the brilliant meteor which passed over Scotland last night.*

Pat reminded members that next week is the Business Meeting.  Any agenda items to Pat, please.

Raffle:                   Was won by Robert & Jean.

Master-at-Arms:              According to Nick, today is International Dot Day.  Tomorrow is International Grenache Day.  Finally, today is the anniversary of the discovery of penicillin by Alexander Fleming.
