Pat asked the members present to vote en bloc to accept the above.  This was proposed by Andrew B and seconded by Nick Robinson.  The members then voted unanimously in favour of accepting the above nominations.

Pat noted that future board meetings will be here in the back room of The Plough.

Any Other Business:        Andrew B said that he has received an email from David K about his contact in Ukraine.  There is a large group of orphaned children and their carers who are in need of a cooker for food preparation - can we help with the cost of this?  After discussion, Andrew B proposed a donation of £200; this was seconded by Hilary.  The members present voted in favour.

Jean M said that she was contacted by a lady in Swalecliffe who has a van load of tools for TWAM.  Jean and Andrew have arranged for a van to come down from Ipswich, but volunteers are needed to load it.  Andrew B, Robert, Pat and Chris volunteered.  It was suggested that they should wear their Rotary polo shirts as identification, and also bring work gloves.

Hilary talked about her ideas for arranging a celebration of the club's 20th anniversary next year.  The membership who responded to her email have indicated in favour of an early evening buffet at the Crescent Turner hotel restaurant.  This has been pencilled in for Thursday 6th May 2024, to be confirmed later.  It was suggested that we don't have a band, but have piped music as background only.  There is a suggestion that we should have a speaker; Sue has a possible name.

Pat said that she, Sue  and Gerry have met to arrange a calendar of events.  However when Pat tried to send it to board members from her Mac Book, it didn't work very well.  She will circulate this as soon as is practicable.

Pat gave an update re Jean S.  Jean is very poorly and the outlook is not good.  Doctors have been unable to control her infection, and she may soon be on palliative care only, perhaps at the Pilgrims Hospice.

Raffle                    Won by Jean M

Master-at-Arms:                              Nick informed us that today is international Towel Day (after the importance of knowing where your towel is according to the Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy).  It's also Wine Day in the USA.  On this day, the cartoon character Goofy first made his appearance.

Final Toast:                         Andrew B
