Support for Ukrainian Refugees at Liverpool John Lennon Airport

Support for Ukrainian Refugees at Liverpool John Lennon Airport

In April 2022 British Red Cross appealed to Rotary to help with meeting Ukrainian refugees arriving at the airport over 30 Rotarians including 6 from RC Crosby provided support over 80 days sometimes late into the night.  The role was to help unite Ukrainian guests, nearly always women and children, with their host families and help them with initial practical support provided by the Red Cross. The privacy of all concerned has been maintained at all times. Rotary were stood down in early July but remain on standby if there is another major influx.
