MODEL RAILWAY EXHIBITION TO BE BIGGEST YET

Rotary Newton Aycliffe and our partners at Shildon Model Railway Club will be presenting the biggest exhibition they have held so far on Saturday 25 March 2023 at the usual venue of the Youth and Community Centre, Burn Lane, Newton Aycliffe DL5 4HT with the doors opening at 10.00am.

This will be the thirteenth running of the event which over the years has raised some £25,000 for charities across the North East. The beneficiary charities this year are The Great North Air Ambulance and Parkinson’s Disease Research.

There will be over 25 working layouts in scales from “N” to “0” (that’s quite small to very big!) from some of the countries very best modellers as well as 12 trade stands selling model railway equipment both new and “pre-loved”. Stands from three full size preservation societies will be present as will our fantastic “every one a winner” Tombola and our usual and famous catering with the fantastic bacon butties and vegetarian options.

Layouts have been gathered from as far South as Gloucester and Humberside and from across the North East and Cumbria

Entry is £6 for adults, £5 for concessions, accompanied children (under 16) and wheelchair users are free.
