Children of Courage Award Ceremony

The Children of Courage award ceremony recognises and honours courageous children who have faced adversity with resilience and bravery. These young individuals inspire us all with their strength and determination.
The awards recognize local children, from 3 to 19 years of age who have demonstrated courage in the face of adversity, achieved something that made a difference to themselves or to others around them.
For example:
- A courageous act, or a selfless act of kindness.
- Having faced a traumatic experience.
- Have faced, or are facing, extreme health problems and difficulties.
- Risen to overcome their own fears or challenges and achieved personal growth and development.
- Shown determination and overcome great odds.
Local schools have been invited to put forward a nominee for an award. There is no outright winner and each nominee will have equal status being honoured with their own individual award.
This year the ceremony takes place on 9th May 2024, and will be held at Notts County Football ground, where we will be joined by the Lord Mayor who will be presenting the awards.
