STRATFORD ON AVON WEEKEND AWAY 2024

Members and friends enjoyed a weekend away at the Burnside Hotel in Shottery.

“Friends, Romans and countrymen lend me your ears”

Thérèse has been organising the annual weekend now for 20 years and once again she produced a cracking event.

38 members, partners  and friends transported themselves to the Burnside Hotel in Shottery to enjoy a magnificent weekend in the heart of Shakespeare’s territory.

The hotel was brilliant providing everyone with great accommodation, good food combined with very friendly service and attention to detail. Nothing was too much trouble and we EVEN HAD TOAST at breakfast. What a novelty !

If only it was 150 miles closer to home …

Whilst some places were a bit wet underfoot the sun shone all weekend and during the day there was plenty for everyone to do  before settling down to share good food ,fellowship and maybe a touch of alcohol.

A lovely time was had by all in a wonderful part of our beautiful country.

As one well known local once wrote ....

“ I like this place and could willingly waste my time in it “
